We service 75 miles of Crawfordville, Florida including from Taylor County in the east to Gulf County in the west including Apalachicola, Havana and Port St. Joe.
Critter Ridder was established in 2004 and is licensed to operate in the State of Florida to humanely resolve the human-wildlife conflict. We are based out of Tallahassee, Florida but do extend our services throughout the Florida panhandle including Crawfordville, Alligator Point, Carrabelle, St. George Island, Apalachicola, Cape San Blas and Port St. Joe. Critter Ridder provides prompt, effective wildlife control services and treats all customers with courtesy.
Critter Ridder humanely traps, relocates and releases all wildlife back into their natural and preferred habitat. We do not capture domestic animals such as cats, dogs, chickens, pigs, horses, cows or sheep.
We specialize in small animal removal and trapping including raccoons, opossums, squirrels, rodents, armadillos, bats, snakes, bees, wasps and hornets, feral cats and feral pigs.
- Animals like raccoons and opossums love to nest in attics, wall voids and foundations causing noise, smell and even damage to the wood and wall boards. Gnawing can damage wiring and create a fire hazard and raccoons can damage a roof by making entry points through shingles and soffits. Using humane no-kill traps Critter Ridder will remove wildlife from your property and relocate it to a natural environment.
- Squirrels are cute and fuzzy when you watch them through the window but when they take up residence in the walls, under the floor or in the attic they are a problem. They can gnaw through insulation leading to expensive electrical repairs or even a fire. They can be noisy too and, being mammals, they’re smarter than you think. Do it yourself is an expensive waste of time. Let Critter Ridder do it for you. We know how to keep squirrels out of you house and reduce numbers in the yard through humane techniques that really work.
- Bats in the attic can pose a special problem to homeowners. They carry diseases and over time, they can create a smell and even introduce bat bugs, a close relative of bedbugs, into the home. Because they consume huge numbers of mosquitoes, bats are protected in Florida. They cannot be tampered with at times of year when young are present in the roost. At Critter Ridder, we have the expertise to know when it is legal to exclude bats from a roost and how to do it in a humane fashion. There won’t be a risk of trapping young bats and leaving them to die in the home.
- Bees, wasps and hornets can be bothersome and even dangerous if they nest too close to your home. In addition, many homeowners don’t want to harm feral honeybees but honey bees nesting in walls and ceilings can cause major damage to a structure and be expensive and dangerous to manage. Don’t risk getting stung. Let Critter Ridder handle the problem. We can minimize the damage while removing a nest and make any necessary structural repairs on the spot.
We love our wildlife and offer sensitive and humane management for the creatures that make our home a special place. We provide thorough services including, but not limited to wildlife trapping and capture, deceased wildlife retrieval, exclusive repair, preventive maintenance & treatment, property inspection, site decontamination, deodorization and clean-up.
It’s a dirty job, and we love to do it!
